Lorin Maazel, who from the very beginning of his career has been a genius, has become the undisputed master conductor of our time. During his tenure as principal conductor of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (now the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin) (1964-1975), he recorded many works, including J.S. Bach's orchestral suites and Brandenburg Concertos, mainly for Philips and Oirodiscs of the time, but when it comes to live performances, he is almost unknown. However, live recordings are not so well known. Beethoven with Kemp, Opitz's teacher and one of the best Beethoven players in the world. The contrast between Maazel's heroic conducting and the piano, which is a master of the art of the tasteful, is a performance that embodies the fun of listening to a concerto.The cadenza is Kemp's own composition. The cadenza was composed by Kemp himself. The brilliant sound and the perfectly matched ensemble showed the brilliance of Maazel.
