Description:

The late Jon Hiseman (dr/perc) and Dick Heckstall-Smith (sax) formed this band in '68 and released many masterpieces in the 60s/70s for BBC Radio in the UK. This is a 6-CD live disc collection from '20, compiled from live recordings they left for BBC Radio in the 60s/70s, when they released many masterpieces. Starting with the live recordings for the BBC Radio program "TOP GEAR" broadcast in January '69 after the band's debut, the live/studio live recordings of 65 songs from 14 broadcasts from the early '69 to the end of the band's career in '71, exceeding 6 hours in total, are recorded. The album contains over 6 hours of live/studio live recordings from the early '69 to late '71 broadcasts. The contents include interviews with the late Jon Hiseman and MC's of each program, as much as possible, covering the content of the broadcast period. The contents of this album will astonish even non-enthusiasts.This is a must-have/ must-listen live box for fans of British Rock, featuring the band members' evolving musicianship and the thrilling ensemble and improvisation that only a live performance can provide! The master is newly remastered by Eroc of GROBSCHNITT, who is also in charge of a series of reissues on this label, following the previously released "LIVE IN CONCERT" series, and as a bonus, Disc 6 includes the music program Bonus features: "Walking In The Park (off-air)" live soundtrack from "SYMONDS ON SUNDAY" broadcast in March '69, and "Jazz Workshop" live soundtrack from "69" broadcast. Added live recordings of 'These About To Die (Take 2)', 'Butty's Blues (Take 2)', and 'Elegy (Take 2)' from "JAZZ WORKSHOP" broadcast in 1969. Each CD is packaged in its own paper-jacketed slipcase with a booklet featuring a new commentary by renowned music journalist Chris Welch, including new comments by Pete Brown, and the CD/booklet is packaged in a special case for storage.
