Philippe Guillon-Elbert, who was awarded first prizes in piano, chamber music, and accompaniment at the Paris Conservatory and Freiburg University of Music, and studied piano with such French masters as Michel Bellof and Jean-Claude Penutier, will perform the esprit of Russian ballet music! The main works are Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" and Stravinsky's "Petrushka," which are the staples of Russian ballet music for piano, but Guillon-Elbert has also re-arranged two pieces from "Scheherazade" for solo piano that the composer arranged for four hands.
