In 2023, legendary violinist and singer Irian Canizares returns to the forefront of the music scene, celebrating a decade-long career with the album "Habana-Baia" recorded in Brazil. It is a musical, spiritual, and cultural marriage between Brazil and her native Cuba. The cultural, musical, and spiritual ties between Brazil and Cuba have always been evident.Salvador de Bahia, the birthplace of Afro-Brazilian culture, epitomizes Brazil's uniqueness. It was this mixed, colorful, mysterious, and delicious environment that Ilian instinctively chose to create new music. More than the strong cultural interrelationship between Cuba and Brazil, the two countries individually and for decades have been incredibly fertile and effervescent poles of musical diversity in the world.
