Description:
Laferriere, winner of the Elisabeth International Competition Conducting the orchestra she founded, Tchaikovsky! Orchestra Consuelo was founded in 2021 by Julien Lafelière (b. 1990), winner of the cello section of the 2017 Elisabeth International Competition, in Sans, Burgundy. Named after the novel "Consuelo" by Georges Sand, Consuelo aims to reproduce the intensity of Romantic music, and to be a locally based orchestra, the exact opposite of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Julien Lafelière, who has already established his reputation as a cellist, the orchestra is developing Tchaikovsky's lyricism in a rich and intense way. Our goal is true.
