Description:
Concerto Symphony with Le Concert de la Loge, conducted by the brilliant French cellist Christian-Pierre La Marcachauvin! Jarski also participates in this gorgeous album! Christian-Pierre La Marca is a French cellist of exceptional talent. He has been making a splash with his albums such as "Cello 360" (V7260) and "Wonderful World" (V7362), both of which are highly polished in terms of their concepts and the members involved. The orchestra is Le Conseil de la Loge, an ensemble that was born to perform Haydn, and under the direction of Chauvin, the group's music director, the Haydn concertos are performed in a truly elegant manner. Mozart's Concerto Symphony (Levin's complementary version) is performed by Adrien La Marca, another French viola virtuoso and his younger brother, and Chauvin's violin. Although Polpola is most often associated with vocal music, he was also a composer with a great deal of insight into the cello. Porpora was instrumental in establishing the Italian vocal tradition in Vienna, while Haydn and Gluck were also active there. The content of this recording is a living example of the interaction between these composers. Recording (everything from direction to sound) was done by Ken Yoshida. The excellent recording sound quality also deserves a special mention. Christian-Pierre La Marca was born in 1983. After making his debut at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, he studied with Jean-Marie Gamard and Philippe Murel, as well as France Helmerson and Stephen Isserlis. He has attended master classes with Rostropovich and Heinrich Schiff. His album "Cello 360" won the 2021 Best Concept Album Award (Gramophone). With his brother, Adrien La Marca, he is co-music director of the Forres Music Festival (France). King International
