The sister-brother program, combining the string quartets of Fanny Mendelssohn and Felix Mendelssohn, is centered around the F minor Quartet (No. 6), which is considered a "requiem" to his sister, who died about two months before it was composed, based on an unfinished piano sonata from 1834 Fanny's only string quartet, written in 1834 based on an unfinished piano sonata, is beautifully contrasted. *Recording:November 9-12, 2020, Lone Tree Arts Center (Colorado) Pressing: MPO (France) / *Cutting engineer: Theo Krieger (Tokyo M-Plus)
