The Violin Sonatas No. 1 and No. 2 were written in the early 1950s, inspired by the talents of the outstanding musicians of the time (Joseph Joachim, Ferdinand David, Clara Schumann) with whom Schumann interacted. Violin Sonata No. 3, which was completed by adapting Schumann's movement and adding a new movement from the "F.A.E.
