Finally, Rousset's first volume of the law of averages is now available! Christophe Rousset is one of the most talented and high-profile keyboard players in the history of the world's most famous keyboard players. Trained by first generation harpsichordists such as Gustav Leonhardt and Bob van Asperen, he won the first prize at the Bruges International Competition in 1983, and in 1991 he founded the ensemble "Les Talents Liliques" and has been active in the discovery and performance of buried baroque operas. Following the release of the second volume of the Mean Rhythms in 2013, the first volume is now available. The first volume of the Clavier cycle was compiled during the latter part of Bach's tenure as music director at the Court of Köthen.Of the 24 preludes, 11 early drafts were included in a collection of clavier pieces written for his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann, and in the year of its completion, he began writing music for a music book for his wife Anna Magdalena, making this collection a development of the Bach family's educational works. According to Ruse, "Volume 2 is a highly artistic work that requires complex harmonic progressions and structural intricacies, such as the 'Technique of Fugue,' while Volume 1 is more for educational purposes, but it is by no means only for training, and is a groundbreaking work that combines artistry there as well. He added, "Of the many Bach works, none has been so familiar, so performed, and so deeply studied." In this recording, Rousset puts aside his previous scholarly research and, without daring to introduce new interpretations, he creates music with depth and concentration, presenting new discoveries to the listener.The instruments are the same as in the second volume, using the original Lukkers originals from the collection of the Palace of Versailles.
