Radio France Metolize, a children's choir affiliated with Radio France, is a group of children's choirs that offers a moment to be refreshed by the innocent voices of children's choirs. Founded in 1946 after the war, the choir has been associated with major composers of the postwar era such as Messiaen and Dutilleux. Currently under the direction of the beautiful Swedish conductor Sophie Jäännin, the choir offers a perfect blend of French sensibility and Scandinavian transparency. Here, Dutilleux's arrangements of songs passed down to French sailors are presented in a charming choral setting. Britten's vaudeville "The Golden Vanity" is Britten's favorite, featuring only boys. Although written for the Vienna Boys Choir, Radio France Metrise also gives a pure performance. King International
