Trio Vandala. 30th anniversary edition re-released Trio Vandalaar, which started its activities in 1987, has reissued a release to commemorate its 30th anniversary (HMM-902248/discontinued). The coupling is the famous Dumky and Dvorak's F minor, also by Dvorak. The three members originally formed an ensemble at the recommendation of their teacher when they were students, and in 1988, the year after they began their activities, they won the first prize at the Munich International Competition, which is known as a difficult competition. Their subsequent successes are well known throughout the world. The "Dumky" is the first recording in 22 years of the "royal road" repertoire for piano trio. It goes without saying that the two string players are in perfect harmony, and Vincent Cocq on piano brings everything together beautifully. Dvorak's F minor Lamentations draws you into the world of the work at once from its wailing opening. HARMONIA MUNDI
