The Segovia Archives - Grand Finale" by Roberto Moron Perez Recorded at Holy Trinity Church with beautiful acoustics associated with Shakespeare The Andres Segovia Archives, revised by Angelo Gilardino and published by Berben, Italy. This is a series of unpublished (and some previously published) works of music written for Segovia, accompanied by the composer's autograph score. This album is recorded by Roberto Morón Pérez, a Spanish guitarist who also collaborated in the publication of these scores, and is in keeping with this valuable publication. This is the fourth and final volume in the series. It includes works by composers such as Tansman, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Hans Hauck, Juan Manen, and Montpauw. Roberto Morón Pérez describes the series as follows. The overwhelming charisma and virtuosity of Andrés Segovia (1893-1987) inspired composers other than guitar players, and the guitar repertoire grew exponentially.Many of these works were featured in concerts and recordings throughout his life. In addition, many more works lay dormant in the Andres Segovia Archive, a recently discovered collection of Segovia's private papers that was not released to the public until several years after his death. These little-known and largely forgotten works were the heart of the three CDs I have released to date, a collection of works of the highest musical value. These are masterpieces that represent the pinnacle of Segovia's repertoire."
