The complete symphonies will be released as a 41-CD box set. The complete symphonic cycle is considered the definitive recording of the complete cycle, and has been newly remastered from the original master tapes at 24-bit/192 kHz. The oratorio features top-notch singers including Barbara Hendricks, Lucia Popp, Ileana Kotrbas, Benjamin Lacson, and Kurt Mol. The booklet also includes a detailed essay by Decca Classics label director Dominic Fife, a newly discovered letter from Decca producer James Malinsen, and many archival photographs.
