Their debut album, Tezeta, is a journey through the layers of influences woven by the band members. Ethiojazz, Afrobeat, percussion, dub, and tribal music are combined with elements of electronica in a perfect balance. The result is a cinematic, soulful, and one-of-a-kind aesthetic blend that connects various worlds. The name "Tezeta" comes from the famous Ethiopian musical scale, which is a major inspiration for the composition. This scale symbolizes nostalgia, longing, and love songs, a starting point that resonates a quiet pain and longing for faraway places. At the same time, it also evokes a sense of home. For members Hadar and Tushiner, this is a tangible longing, and the sounds of Africa are woven into them like a second language. The album was recorded using tape reels, field recordings, African percussion, flute, saxophone, old synthesizers, and guitars and drums, following the old-fashioned studio recording method.Every sound recorded was meticulously spun through the filter of precision, listening, and the search for technical and emotional depth. Their music is always present in the moment, a vivid and open moment. At the same time, it is connected to the sounds coming from beyond the winds of the Gulf of Africa and the streets of Tel Aviv, inviting the listener into a space where emotion and rhythm move in unison.
