Piano grains descended from the sky, the bass rang low bells, and cymbals appeared with twinkling steps. Something wonderful is about to happen! It was the beginning of a happy time, when music and imagination unite. Starlight Reflections" is the first work by German pianist Walter Lang for Sawano Studio. One listen to the artwork and you will know that it is a collection of 12 scenes from a winter night. The side features bassist Thomas Marcusson from Sweden and drummer Sebastian Merck from his home country of Germany. The bass player walks and sings beautifully, and the drummer has a good balance of rigidity and flexibility. The piano is impressive with its cool lyricism, and the skill is not only backed by the flexibility of the elbow and wrist, but also by the mastery of color, light, and color in the melody and voicing.The second song, "When Lights Are Low," is so romantic and lovely! This love song, painted on a canvas in E flat, is transformed into a fairy tale of a distant winter by their hands. The dainty piano and light rhythm of the song are a performance that knows how to make you listen to it. I'm A Fool To Want You," which begins with a piano solo, uses counterpoint as a motif for the first three notes of the melody. The clear tone is always gentle, and the afterglow of the night lingers like some kind of secret. What kind of new scenery will Walter Lang show us in the future?
