The original winded compositions are by far the finest, with Sabatino's gorgeous writing style dancing over a variety of plots, especially the calypso (M1), waltz (M2), and four-beat (M9). If Stanway is the protagonist of the piece, the wind instruments, including Javier Gillotte (ss,bs), play a prominent role in the story, and the development of the story is a constant source of thrill and excitement. I have never been so fascinated by the sound of soprano and baritone saxophones, which is probably due in large part to the wide-range core of the recording.Moreover, four trio pieces (M3, M6, M8, and M10) are exquisitely placed in between to keep fans entertained. This exquisite gem, which is the culmination of the career of the pianist Paolo di Sabatino, whose popularity and ability have steadily increased since his debut, can of course be safely recommended to beginners who are just starting to listen to jazz music. The variety of musical forms on this album is rich and varied, and the overall harmony of the music is nothing short of exquisite and balanced.
