OTAKEN RECORDS' 4th release is now available! Finally, we found a new unopened Furtwängler early HMV disc! It is Bartók's Violin Concerto with Menuhin, which has the part number LHMV3 in the U.S. It was found in Mr. N's collection. It was found in Mr. N's collection, and he kindly allowed us to release it on CD. It goes without saying that Furtwängler's performance shows his true value in Beethoven, but it is also true that it is in these modern works with an avant-garde aspect that his genius stands out. It is no exaggeration to say that this recording, which is not at all dated, opens up a new world of Furtwängler's music that has never been heard before. I think this Bartók recording is the best among the series of concerto recordings that Menuhin made with him during this period. I am sorry to mention this on a personal note, but Furtwängler and Menuhin actually appeared in the hall that I usually use for recording musicians of my acquaintance, and I felt as if I was present at the recording in the monitor room, and I could not stop shaking throughout the recording. This is probably one of the best Furtwängler recordings both musically and audiophile-wise. The coupling is, of course, the Emperor with Fischer. This is a mint copy, similar to the Bartók, though not unopened, with the U.S. LHMV4 part number.However, the recording date is somewhat old (1951), and the sound is not as good as Bartók's, but it still sounds in a different dimension from the existing recordings.
