Jennifer Walton

JENNIFER WALTON is a London-based producer and musician whose sharp electronics and noisy sound design traverse club music, industrial, and ambient. He has been a live drummer for KERO KERO BONITO, and has been active in many fields including CRYALOT, a project with SARAH MIDORI PERRY, remixes for METRONOMY, and collaborations with ICEBOY VIOLET and BABII. He also produces music and DJs under the name MICROPLASTICS with AYA and 96 BACK, and participated in the highly acclaimed London collective CAROLINE's "CAROLINE 2," among many other activities. They have become a trusted presence in both the pop and underground scenes. Her long-awaited debut album is "DAUGHTERS," released in 2025. This album was created based on an idea that sprouted while she was touring North America in 2018. At that time, while fulfilling her musical dreams, she was faced with the reality that her father was dying of cancer. The sense of loss that washes over her between airports, hotels, and struggles with the American healthcare system - the absurd experience is etched throughout the album. DAUGHTERS" interweaves fragments of diary entries, travel accounts, mechanical and religious imagery, and even fiction to form a soundscape of reality and illusion. The final part of the album, "SAINTS," "MISS AMERICA," and the title track, "DAUGHTERS," are particularly impressive, as is "SAINTS," which samples the electronic sounds emitted by unmanned hospital equipment and describes the days of taking his father to clinical trials, a work that is extremely personal, yet resonates with universal emotions. The work resonates with universal emotions, even though it is extremely personal. The album was completed in London in late 2024.The production was done by musicians who are close to her - AYA (who also mixed this album), DANIEL S. EVANS, JOSHUA BARFOOD, NICK GRANATA (above SHOVEL DANCE), ALEX MCKENZIE (CAROLINE / SHOVEL DANCE), AGA UJMA, and BOB LOCKWOOD -- all of whom support WALTON's isolated vision. DAUGHTERS" is the definitive debut album that consolidates and expands on her past work, as she continues her musical exploration in the face of grief.
