The first new release in nearly two years and three months from the unique multi-talented artist Patrick Wolf is the first in a four-part series focusing on his roots! This is his seventh studio album, his first since "Sundark and Riverlight" (October 2012) and his latest release since "The Night Safari" (March 2023). Guest artists include Zola Jesus, Serafina Steer, and Seb Rochford (Polar Bear). Album title: The title of the album comes from the tradition of corn harvest festivals that used to be common in Devon and Cornwall, England. The farmer raises the last handful of corn he has harvested high in the air and chants various prayers, shouting "Neck! The first of a four-part work: Patrick Wolf's project is deeply influenced by the folklore of his home state of East Kent, and is inspired by the pagan "Wheel of the Year," and this is the first of a four-part work.
