Description:
Orbit Culture, a rising star of melodic death metal that will make its first appearance in Japan at LOUD PARK25, has released its latest album "Death Above Life" (analog), the first release with Century Media. Orbit Culture is a four-piece from Eksha, Sweden, who have emerged with a string of stunning albums, including "Nija" (released in 2020) and "Descent" (released in 2023). And they have honed their live skills by sharing the stage with bands like In Flames, Slipknot, and Trivium. The rising stars of Swedish death metal are Orbit Culture. Orbit Culture frontman Niklas Karlsson uses both a death voice and a clean voice to bring his well-honed songs to life. His clean voice is reminiscent of Metallica's James Hetfield. This record represents a change, a new beginning," says Niklas. From the album's scorching opener, "Inferna," to the fang-tastic title track and the final track, "The Path I Walk," it is clear that they are at the top of their game. Their sound is characterized by cinematic, symphonic, dramatic soundscapes. Composers like Hans Zimmer ("Dune," "Interstellar") and Howard Shore ("The Lord of the Rings") have been a major influence on the band. More than any metal music ever written. Our dream is to make an orchestral record of orbit culture, our version of [Metallica's] 'S&M,'" says Niklas. The album was produced by the band themselves and mixed by Buster Odeholm (Vildjarta, Humanity's Last Breath, Sloan). Death Above Life" is a statement of the "now" and the "future" of metal, and an important step in the next evolution of Orbit Culture.<Orbit Culture>Niklas Karlsson - guitar, vocalsRichard Hansson -guitarFredrik Lennartsson - bassChristopher Wallerstedt - drums
