Finnish progressive metal band=WHEEL Evolving strong riffs and impressive melodies, the band's third album "Charismatic Leaders" reveals its anger at evil leaders The band was formed in 2015. Finland-based power trio = WHEEL (Wheel) captivated prog fans with tight rhythms, unforgettable melodies and adventurous developments on their 2019 debut, "Moving Backwards". The follow-up, "Resident Human," will be a dystopian-themed work that will be the talk of the town. The third album, "Charismatic Leaders," will be released in May. Aiming for a quality that transcends past works, the three began songwriting in 2020 and took their time in recording from August to December 2023. The targets of this album's title "Charismatic Leaders" (Charismatic Leaders) are dictators, agitating politicians, and false idols. At this very moment, evil leaders are starting fires of division and war all over the world for their own self-interests only.Released in March prior to the album release, the song "Empire" rages against Rupert Murdoch's multimedia dictatorship, and the music video has garnered over 200,000 views on video sites in just one month since its release, garnering enthusiastic support from fans. The music video for "Porcelain," which was released in April, delves into the theme of the social norms and values of the past, which are far removed from and abhorrent to today's standards. It is also an interesting song that points out that our current values may be considered equally primitive in the near future; James Lascelles says, "We are all shaped by our surroundings and social conformity. It was sobering to write a song about this, and the more I thought about it, the more I felt empathy for those who came before us." A pulsating cry for justice, "Charismatic Leaders" is a "WHEEL manifesto" that will excite listeners and make them think about the world around them.
