Description:

The second collection of self-written piano works by Spain's most distinctive pianist and composer, Alberto Guinobaldo Alberto Guinobaldo is one of Spain's most distinctive pianists and composers. Sony Classical has been regularly releasing albums by this creative musician since 2014; his 2018 release of Nocturne, an album of his own piano works, has been streamed over 500,000 times on Spotify. This solo album, "Poems Without Words", a sequel to that album, was born out of the composer's desire to light a glimmer of hope and confidence for a brighter future at a time when our lives have been plunged into fear and sadness due to the global Corona disaster and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The album is a collection of "24 Preludes," which is the centerpiece of the album. The album's centerpiece, "24 Preludes," is a collection of pieces that Guinobardt posted on social networking sites, one a day, to comfort and empower listeners and remind them that beauty is needed more than ever in these difficult times. In addition to the works from the previously released "Nocturne" album, the new recording is "Five Poems for Piano," based on a poem by Emily Dickinson, which Spanish essayist Juan Angel Bella del Campo has described as "the album's crowning achievement. The dialogue between poetry and music as two sensibilities from different eras come together is as exciting as it is moving. In a small work of only three minutes, there is an eternal music. The album closes with three "lullabies" to family members. was born in Barcelona in 1962. He studied piano and composition at the Barcelona Conservatory and in London. As a pianist, he is well known for his work with Romanticism and Spanish music such as Turina, Granados, and Albéniz, and has also accompanied María Bayo and Flores. As a composer, he has composed numerous classical works as well as film and musical music, including "Sea and Sky," written in Catalan, and the official music for the 2003 and 2013 World Swimming Championships. He is also known as a Granados specialist and has gained overwhelming popularity for his classical and his own piano playing.
