Originally named the German Brass Quintet by Enrique Crespo, the five-member group was renamed the German Brass in 1985 to record the CD "Bach 300," when the number of members was increased to ten by the principal players of famous orchestras throughout Germany. For more than 45 years since its foundation, the orchestra has been performing all genres of music in its repertoire, from classical to popular music. The ensemble, led by one of the world's best trumpet players, Matthias Hefs and his ten wind instruments, is a superb ensemble, full of brass charm. This album is a new 2022 recording of Christmas songs from around the world. From the sparkle and flash of the trumpets to the soft tones of the horns, this is a delightful performance that beautifully captures the joy and atmosphere of Christmas with brass instruments." World-famous melodies such as "Morobito ko ko hori" and "God's Only Son Tonight," popular tunes from America such as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," and the beautiful and rare Ukrainian song "Nebo yasni zirky vkryly."
