Description:

A beautiful world of 26 unknown piano masterpieces of modern and contemporary music, edited by a master of French music. Between the Belle Epoque and the frenzied 20s, before and after the two world wars that had to be healed, music was in need of serenity, humanity, and intimacy, while all the world was developing at a dizzying pace. This album contains small pieces of piano music composed by 22 French composers who put their souls into their work at a time when electricity, phonographs, bicycles, and the Paris subway were entering people's daily lives, and women were being liberated. Influenced by new trends such as Dadaism (an artistic thought and movement that took place in the mid-1910s) and Surrealism (a literary and artistic movement centering on the writer André Breton that took place in France during the interwar period), these composers did not express the urge of destruction and liberation as other artists did. The works produced by the evolving compositional techniques of these artists are surreal and free, soaring above the flow of time like musical "hanging gardens," and seem more concerned with impressions than with forms of expression, with ideas than with emotions. Frank and Chausson in the old 19th century, Jean Alain in the new 20th century.Dupont, Kula, Aubert, Dandy, Arn, Ibert, Pierné, Vierne, Samazouille, Schmidt, Chaminade, Boulanger, Honegger, Tailleferre, Sevrac, Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, and Satie, who worked during that period. These composers represent a particularly rich period for French music. The 26 pieces on this album have depth and sincerity, but are also, unfortunately, little-known little havens; each piece deftly evokes nature and pastoral scenes, stops time, is enigmatic, nostalgic, and, after the end of the Romantic period The music is imbued with a distinctive coloring, from the Le Sage, a renowned pianist and the best partner of super virtuoso orchestras such as Payu and Meyer, is especially renowned as a specialist in French music, and these selections are indeed unique to Le Sage. These selections are a perfect balance of lyricism, buoyancy, lightness, and power, weaving a sense of color and conveying the charm of each piece. In an age when music is streamed and popular songs and moods are the order of the day, I have compiled a panorama of music that is both fascinating and informative. The Hanging Gardens" is a collection of my selections from the French music of the first half of the 20th century, a sort of forgotten little book of poems. Ravel, Debussy, and Fauré are not included here, and I have selected the flower of French music that blossomed beside them. I hope that after listening to this album, you will be inspired to listen to the collections to which these pieces belong, and to learn more about the compositional process.
