Gabi Hartmann, an up-and-coming female jazz singer from France, releases her debut album "Gabi Hartmann" on analog vinyl with Jesse Harris, known for his work with Norah Jones, as co-producer! Gabi Hartmann is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Paris, France. After studying philosophy and politics in Paris, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he fell in love with Brazilian music. After spending two years in Rio, he moved to London, this time to study ethnomusicology, and traveled to South Africa, Guinea, Portugal, and New York.In 2018, he met producer/songwriter Jesse Harris, also known as the author of Norah Jones' "Don't Know Why", With him, she began recording her first solo project in New York, Rio, and Paris.Her debut EP, "Always Seem to Get Things Wrong," a five-song EP released in October 2021, received a great response as it showcased her musical versatility, ranging from jazz to chanson, bossa nova, and African music. Her debut full-length album, "Gabi Hartmann," was also produced with Jesse Harris as a co-producer, and is a powerful album with songs in English, French, and Portuguese, and production work by Jesse Huss that makes the most of her melancholy voice. The songs are sung in English, French, and Portuguese.
