Description:

Dream Theater's 10th official bootleg is a demo of their 4th album "Falling Into Infinity". The 10th installment of the "Lost Not Forgotten Archives" series features the band's 4th album. Released in 1997, "Falling Into Infinity" is the 10th in the series and is a demo of the band's 4th album "Falling Into Infinity". It is a complete change from their previous album, "Awake" (1997), which was a darker, heavier, more aggressive style, and it has a perfect balance of melodies with a pop sensibility, a good amount of heaviness, and the beauty of progressive metal construction. The album was produced by Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Journey, Iron Maiden, etc.) and has a wide range of songs. Among the six songs that did not make it onto the album, "Raise The Knife," "Where Are You Now? (Where Are You Now?), "The Way It Used To Be", "Cover My Eyes" and "Speak To Me" were released on the Christmas 1999 fan club limited edition "Cleaning Out (Speak To Me" was also included as a bonus track on the first pressing of the Japanese edition of "Falling Into Infinity").It also includes instrumental versions from the making of the next concept album "Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory" (Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory), which is regarded as one of the greatest albums of his career, and "You Or Me" (You Not Me), which has completely different lyrics from "You Not Me. You Not Me" (You Or Me), whose lyrics are completely different from those of "Scenes From A Memory" (Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory), and other rare sound sources that provide insight into the approach that led to the completion of the album.
