German melodic death metal band Deserted Fear (Doomsday). Formed in 2007 in Thuringia, central Germany, Deserted Fear's fifth studio album "Doomsday" is even bolder and more aggressive than before. DESERTED FEAR hit the extreme metal scene with "My Empire" in 2012. Since then, the band has consistently released albums such as "Kingdom Of Worms" (2014), "Dead Shores Rising" (2017), and "Drowned By Humanity" (2019), which reached #20 on the German album charts! They are the apostles of European death metal. The success of their last album, "Drowned By Humanity," brought the global turmoil of the new coronavirus to the band, which had been on an intense tour with OBITUARY, AT THE GATES, and MORBID ANGEL. To be honest, we were burned out by the time we made the last record. We'd been on tour a lot, and we'd done everything we could for everything but the music. Pandemic was a forced respite for us. There was a period of frustration where we didn't touch our instruments for weeks, but after a while we were motivated to make a new album and play some shows. After a period of well-deserved rest and recharging, the band's desire to create was rekindled, and they entered the Eisensound Studio in Jena, Germany, to work on "Doomsday". The album opens with "Intro" as in the past, but is bolder and more assertive than ever before. With Fabian recording, mixing, and mastering this album, the result is an immersive sound, a relentless onslaught of thrash, and the confidence and authority that only an arena-class band can deliver.With the addition of new elements and the completion of "Doomsday," their most varied work to date, DESERTED FEAR continues to develop further musically. The digipack version of the CD includes a beer mat. In addition, bonus tracks include "Funeral Of The Earth" and a cover of IN FLAMES' "Artifacts Of The Black Rain".
