Pop icon Miley Cyrus, who has topped the U.S. album charts five times and is a worldwide favorite, is releasing her new album "Plastic Hearts," her first new album in almost three years. In a handwritten message on her Instagram, she informed her fans that while she had been working on the album for over two years, she lost everything when she lost her home in the 2018 wildfires, but has found herself and her seventh album is now complete. The album will include the hit song "Midnight Sky," which was released in August and already has nearly 200 million global song plays coming soon. The album's lead single, "Midnight Sky," is an 80's electro-pop song created by Andrew Watt, a Grammy Award-winning producer who has had No. 1 hits in the U.S. for Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. Miley herself directed the music video to express the importance of telling your own story, which is also the message of the song. She commented that she was inspired by strong female artists such as Fleetwood Mac vocalist Stevie Nicks and Blondie vocalist Debbie Harry when shooting the music video.In May 2019, he released a six-song, distribution-only EP, "See Is Coming," and stated that he is working on a new album. At the end of the year, she married her boyfriend of almost 10 years, actor Liam Hemsworth, but announced their divorce the following August. She delivered a new song, "Slide Away," and in September she joined Lana Del Rey on Ariana Grande's song "Don't Call Me Angel," which was written for the movie Charlie's Angels. No album was released after that, and in 2020, after the new coronavirus caused a furlough in many parts of the U.S., he began releasing a live streaming series, "Bright Minded: Live with Miley," in which he talks with various guests using Instagram's live streaming feature.3 The series has featured not only Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, and Alicia Keys, but also 57 guests, including models, actors, producers, show hosts, politicians, medical professionals, chefs, and nail artists. Miley's fame has been leveraged to provide entertainment in a new way. The videos are still available on Miley's Instagram page.Since the release of "Midnight Sky" in August, she has performed the song for the first time at the MTV VMAJ, and has also performed many cover songs of various rock bands on TV shows and at online festivals, showing her 80s-inspired style. We can't help but look forward to her fully-fledged new release.
