The music is by Arcaded Fire & Owen Pallett. 2013 original score edition of the movie "her/the one and only girlfriend in the world" starring Joaquin Phoenix, Scarlett Johansson, and LA. Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson, the film is a heartbreaking love story about a man working as a substitute writer in LA who falls in love with his non-physical AI girlfriend. Directed by the brilliant Spike Jonze, who has directed music videos for the Chemical Brothers, Bjork, and others, and is also known for his films "The Malkovich Hole" and "Where the Crocodiles Are". He also wrote his own screenplay, "her/the only girl in the world," which won the 2014 Academy Award for Best Screenplay. The music is by Arcades Fire and their longtime collaborator, Canadian musician Owen Pallett. The piano-based melodies that accompany the film's story resonate with the audience and were nominated for "Best Original Score" at the 2014 Academy Awards. The original score disc is being released for the first time almost eight years after the film's release.
