In March of the Corona Disaster, Yo-Yo Ma posted a performance of "Dvorak: Homeward Road" from his home as #SongsOfComfort, and the video quickly spread around the world on social networking sites. And this album was planned to bring temporary comfort and hope to those of us who feel anxious and isolated in the face of a pandemic like we have never experienced before." The duo, who describe their music as "a small capsule containing emotions," play a wide variety of music, from classical masterpieces to "Over the Rainbow" and traditional songs from around the world. The 21 songs played with special feelings transcend time and genres, and will gently touch the hearts of all who hear them. Yo-Yo Ma and Kathryn Stott have been recording together since 1985, and this is the first time they have worked together since "Songs from the Arc of Life" released in 2015. Sony Music
