In this age of anxiety, here is the music we want to deliver. His latest album "LOVE&PEACE" is a mixture of boogie, blues, rock, Americana, and folk! SEASICK STEVE, a unique bluesman who got his first big break in his life after turning 70 and made his major label debut, is releasing his new album "LOVE&PEACE", his first album in a year and a half since "CAN U COOK? released in the fall of 2018. About the new album, "LOVE&PEACE," STEVE says, "In these crazy times, we have to love each other. In these crazy times, love and peace are in short supply. I don't know if this album has anything to do with love and peace, but I decided to call it that! The album is full of hope for the future and a sound that is a mixture of boogie, blues, rock, Americana, and folk. All songs on the album are written and produced by STEVE himself.The majority of the recording was done at Studio 606 and East West Studio 3 in Los Angeles, and some at his barn. Mixdown was done by Vance Powell, known for his work with Jack White and Chris Stapleton, and Steve, the house engineer at East West Studio. STEVE is backed by longtime drummer Dan Magnusson, Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars, and harmonica player Malcom Arlson (The BossHoss). The album was recorded on 2-inch analog tape, mixed down to analog tape, and the analog record was cut to lacquer from a 1/2-inch master tape. Everything was done according to the "analog era" production process." The production process, which STEVE himself describes as "old-school style without computers," is very typical of him. (1/2)
