TALK TALK was a synth-pop group that was active in the UK music scene in the 1980s when the New Romantic and New Wave dominated the scene.The band released 5 albums in the 10 years from 1981 to 1991, and deepened their sound from the early New Romantic sound to ambient and experimental post-rock with each release, and is said to have greatly influenced later post-rock and alternative rock. Their memorable debut album "THE PARTY'S OVER" released in 1982, also known as the masterpiece of New Romanticism, is now available in white analog to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its release! Considered by many to be one of the most acclaimed and pioneering bands to come out of the U.K., TALK TALK consists of Mark Hollis (vo), Simon Brenner (key), Lee Harris (dr), and Paul Webb (b). In their later years, the band pioneered an avant-garde post-rock style that has greatly influenced many artists, including Radiohead and St. Vincent.TALK TALK began its career with the single "Mirror Man" in February 1982. They then released the singles "Today", which reached #14 in the UK charts, and "Talk Talk", the title track of the album, which reached #23 in the UK charts. This debut album, THE PARTY'S OVER, now released on white analog vinyl, was produced by Colin Thurston, David Bowie's former engineer and best known for producing Duran Duran's first two albums. Combining classic synth-pop with the deep lyrics synonymous with vocalist Mark Hollis, the album has charted in countries such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the US.Earlier this year, a number of B-sides, including "Strike Up The Band" and "? （Now, 40 years later, THE PARTY'S OVER has been reborn in white analog and offers a new taste of the early days of the band's sonic style that still resonates today. The Party's Over" is a reintroduction to the scene with a new taste of their early sound style, which continues to resonate today.
