William Orbit
Description:
This album, THE PAINTER, is an impressive artistic output for William Orbit. Orbit not only created the sound, but also all of the illustrations and designs used in the album's artwork. Orbit says, "For the last few years I took a break from making music and holed up in a seaside town in California, painting, writing about my own life, and thinking about all sorts of things. Then I came back to London and inspiration hit me hard. In the mid-1990s, Orbit was producing for U2, Blur, Madonna, and All Saints, and was a sought-after producer of cutting-edge sounds for artists all over the world. He was a sought after producer by artists around the world for his cutting-edge sound. The passion of that era seems to have ignited his creativity once again. He also says that his immersion in painting over the past few years has influenced the "painterly soundscapes" of the album. The first single, "Colours Colliding (feat. Polly Scattergood)," with its delicate piano and dreamy sound, will give you a glimpse into the world of "THE PAINTER" album. I want people to hear this album," says Orbit about his enthusiasm for THE PAINTER. We're going to do some amazing versions of songs, and we're going to tour. I'm going to work hard for this album! And when it's all over... I'm going to go back to producing other artists and become a pop star again. Why?" he continued, with a mixture of surprise and relief. I love making music again." His first solo studio album in eight years, "THE PAINTER," features a variety of guest vocalists and a new album of songs from his latest album, "The Painter," which was released in March of this year. The PAINTER" is his first solo studio album in eight years, and while it is colored by a variety of guest vocals, its wistful, beautiful, and sometimes ambient electro sound is truly William Orbit. This is the birth of an ambitious work completed with his own creative spirit burning hot once again. (2/2)
