Yonaka (YONAKA), fronted by the red-hot Teresa Jarvis, is a new and very promising newcomer from the UK's proud rock town: Brighton. After hearing this Japanese word from Teresa's friend, a half-Japanese girl, and being attracted to its sound and meaning, the girls named their band after the Japanese word, and released the single "Ignorance" in 2016, followed by a constant stream of singles and EPs (2017's "HEAVY", 2018's "TEACH ME HOW TO FIGHT Their bold, huge riffs, chorus parts filled with presence, and Teresa's emotionally expressive voice have been the talk of the town, and they have attracted a great deal of attention from music fans and the media alike. After releasing their EP, the girls performed at Reading & Leeds, the UK's premier rock festival, and quickly gained attention for their overwhelming performance and their dark, yet pop, pain-filled yet joyful sound.The band has received tremendous support from radio and other media for each single they have released, and they have continued to perform energetically, appearing at festivals and playing sold-out headlining shows. The time has come for these girls to finally reveal their full story to the world.
