To coincide with the release of the 40th anniversary vinyl of their last album "CLOSER," a masterpiece that has etched its name in the history of music, Joy Division will finally reissue their singles from 1979 to 1980 that were not included on the album as 12-inch singles! This is "TRANSMISSION", the first single released in 1979. Joy Division was a dominant force in the UK music scene with their unique worldview created by Peter Saville's original artwork and their well-honed musicality that could only be expressed by them. Their simple but sharp guitar riffs and melodies that tug at the heartstrings, lyrics that seem to look inside themselves instead of loudly criticizing society and adults, and destructive performances at live shows that attracted a great deal of attention at the time, their style had a great influence on rock bands not only in the UK but around the world for generations to come. On May 18, 1980, Ian Curtis tragically passed away, leaving the band with only two albums and numerous singles, and the remaining members formed a new band, New Order, with Bernard on vocals.
