In 2019, she will change her name to "MARINA" and start her career as a solo artist. She returns to the pop scene with her latest album "ANCIENT DREAMS IN A MODERN LAND", her second album as MARINA. ANCIENT DREAMS IN A MODERN LAND" is her fifth album, and it has been three years since her last album "LOVE+FEAR". This is her fifth full-length album, and she is credited as co-producer on six songs as well as songwriter on all the tracks. Producing alongside her are songwriter/producer James Flanigan (Dua Lipa / Carly Rae Jepsen / Hayley Kiyoko) and producer/multi-instrumentalist Jennifer Decilveo ( Andra Day / Bat For Lashes). The first track from the highly anticipated album is "Man's World," an epic pop number with an impressive music video reminiscent of her Greek roots.The song was written by MARINA, who saw the overall female producer rate in popular music at 2% and the female engineer rate at 3%, and was produced by her and Jennifer Decilveo and engineered by Emily Lazar, the first woman to win a Grammy Award for Best Album Technical Award (Non-Classical).
