New recording by Jesualdo Six! A young British male a capella ensemble specializing in Renaissance polyphony, "Jesualdo Six" was founded in 2014. Its director, Owain Park, was born in 1993 and is a gifted musician, composer, conductor, singer, and organist at a young age. He is Senior Organ Scholar at Trinity College Cambridge and Wells Cathedral, and his work has been recorded by Tenebrae, the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge, and the Wells Cathedral Choir, and as a singer he is an Associate Artist with Tenebrae, As a singer, she has been an associate artist with Tenebrae and has performed with Polyphony and the Dunedin Consort. The music on this album is a collection of works that address the theme of mourning and grief, including works by Tallis and Byrd that beautifully express helplessness, by Tavener and Morales that pose a series of questions to reassure those approaching the end of their lives, and by Elena Deyri and Joanna Marsh that call us to enjoy all of life and not let grief overwhelm us. and music for the grief of loss.In creating this album, we specifically wanted to explore the positive undertones of...
