Description:

Andres Segovia Archive", a collection of works dedicated to Segovia, a must-listen for guitar enthusiastsThe "Andres Segovia Archive", revised by Angelo Gilardino and published by Berben, Italy. This is a series of previously unpublished (and some previously published) works of music written for Segovia, accompanied by the composer's autograph score. This album is recorded by Roberto Morón Pérez, a Spanish guitarist who also collaborated in the publication of this score, and is in keeping with this valuable publication. The recording was made at the Weston Holy Trinity Church in England, which is known for its beautiful sound, by the recording team of REFERENCE RECORDINGS, known for its high-quality recordings, and has a natural sound field with an airy feel. Aregui was born in Navarra and grew up in Madrid.A Spanish late Romantic composer, he composed many symphonies and began writing guitar music a year before his death, leaving five works. A forgotten composer in Spain, San Juan studied in Madrid and Paris before moving to Cuba. The "A Legend" recorded here is a Spanish work from before his arrival in Cuba. Casado was born in Barcelona and studied cello with Casals. In his later years, he married Japanese pianist Chieko Hara. The album also includes the highlights of this year's publication, such as "Sardana Quiziana" and "Preambro and Sardana. Donostia (San Sebastian), a Basque Capuchin school. The "Elimina" included here is a sad, nostalgic, and rich work; Paisa went to Argentina due to the Spanish Civil War that broke out between 1936 and 1939. Three Memories" was written in memory of his native Spain.Mompou composed many poetic and delicate piano works. He also left beautiful works for guitar such as "Compostela Suite" and "Songs and Dances No. 13. Included here is "Songs and Dances No. 10," originally for piano and chorus and arranged for guitar by Mompou himself, from "Two Ode by Alfonso X - Songs and Dances. King International
