This is the 10th anniversary re-recording of post-classical standard-bearer Max Richter's German Gramophone debut album "Recomposed By Max Richter - Vivaldi: The Four Seasons" (Japanese title "25% of Vivaldi Recomposed By Max Richter"). The original album is the most successful physical work of Richter's oeuvre, and the work that redefined the genre with its top three albums (Sleep, Blue Notebook, and Recomposed~). Recomposed by Max Richter - Vivaldi: The Four Seasons has been performed more than 190 times around the world over the past decade, and was premiered in Japan by Sayaka Shoji at the 2016 La Folle Journée Music Festival to great acclaim. Recordings have also become an established part of the repertoire, including complete recordings by Fenella Humphreys and Francisco Frana, and partial recordings by Angelle Dubeau. This new recording has a particular sound, using period instruments (gut strings and baroque bow) and early 70s Mogg synthesizers (first generation vintage synthesizers). Richter describes the difference as "the difference between smooth peanut butter and grainy peanut butter.
