Hope creates a highly planned album every time. This time, under the concept of "Escape to Paradise," Hope has gathered works by composers who have worked or are working in Hollywood. Escape to Paradise is not only a historical concept, but also Daniel Hope's own personal background. His grandparents emigrated to South Africa to escape Hitler; his parents came to England to escape apartheid. Korngold's "Violin Concerto" (in its entirety) is placed in the first half, and Daniel Hope sings the beautiful "Love Theme" from numerous film scores on his violin. Sting guests on vocals in a newly arranged version of "The Secret Marriage" with lyrics by Sting to a melody by Hans Eisler.
