Lucy Rose made her debut in Japan in 2013 with the album "LIKE I USED TO" (released in Japan in 2012), which features her heartfelt voice and melodies, lyrics with some personal connection to her own experiences, and songs with rich characters. In the same year, her cover of Primal Scream's "Movin' On Up" (not included on the album) was featured in a campaign commercial for the Xperia(TM) Z1, and in 2002, her song "Shiver" from her debut album was used as the theme song for the hit TV animation "Mushishi: The Sequel". The following year, the song "Shiver" from their debut album was used as the theme song for the hit animated TV series "Mushishi: The Sequel" in Japan. This album was recorded at Snap Studios in London, and features Rich Cooper, who has worked with Banks, Mystery Jets, and others. The acoustic sound is still there, but the sound is more colorful and expressive of the current Lucy Rose, with a more pop sound than the previous album. About the album, Lucy says, "I hope this album will be the deciding factor in a lot of things.It's about who I am, what I do for a living... it's straightforward. I like it very much.
