Orchestra Ensemble Seoul Lee Kyu-soo conductor The Orchestra Ensemble Seoul was founded in January 2014 by graduates of Seoul National University's College of Music with the aim of becoming Korea's leading chamber orchestra. The Orchestra Ensemble Seoul is a chamber orchestra that has been rapidly growing in presence, and has been praised as "Korea's Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields (ASMF)" by pianist Yeorum Song, who performed with the orchestra. Lee Güso, who has served as artistic director since its founding, studied conducting in Vienna, and Andrés Orozco-Estrada has said, "His (Lee Güso's) conducting is concise, but that is always enough. His conducting is simple, but it is always enough, because the music is all in his head and in his hands. He is a promising conductor who combines refined baton technique and musicality. In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth from 2018 to 2022, the Seoul Arts Center is the first private music organization to organize the "Beethoven Symphony & Piano Concerto Complete Works Series" at the Seoul Arts Center to great acclaim, and this disc includes the highlight of the series, the This disc includes the highlight of the series, "Eroica".
