A collection of brass band works performed by the Corey Band. This album opens with Philip Spark's "Second to None," which has become a popular brass band version. Owen Farr sings "Have mercy on me, O my God" from Johann Sebastian Bach's Matthew Passion, also arranged by Philip Spark, with an impassioned tenor horn solo. Oliver Vespi's "As if with a Voice" was inspired by the English poet William Wordsworth's Alpine crossing in his autobiographical work titled "Overture. It is full of tension and rich scenes of dimly lit mountain roads, valleys running parallel to the roads, and raging mountain streams. The album also includes 11 works, including Thomas Doss' "Blackout," a piece with a strong message about what would happen if there were a sudden power outage in modern society.
