Daptone Records is proud to announce the release of the new album by Lee Fields, aka Little JB, who has made his international breakthrough 30 years after his debut single, thanks to the deep funk movement and rare groove trends of the 1990s and beyond! Born in 1951 in the U.S.A., Lee Fields was a direct descendant of JB in the local North Carolina scene that produced many important figures in funk music such as Maceo Parker and George Clinton, and was discovered and reevaluated by DJs and hip-hop artists in the deep funk and rare groove trends of the 1990s and beyond. Since the beginning of the 2000s, Lee Fields has consistently released new albums on labels such as Truth & Soul Records and Big Crown Records, and has established herself as a singer of vintage and neo-soul music. This latest release features 12 songs that range from sweet to funky, including the title track "Sentimental Fool," and is filled with the dignity and energy of a singer who can handle a wide range of songs.
