Live from the 2016 Bregenz Music Festival, a notable performance of the little-known Franco Facho opera "Amlette" Spectacular, recorded live in 2016 at the music festival held every summer in Bregenz, Austria. The program is composer Franco Faccio's hidden masterpiece, the opera Amlette. Franco Faccio is a little-known composer, but he was the conductor of Verdi's opera Otello when it premiered. Being well versed in Verdi's operas and the operatic world of the time, FACCIO himself approached this work with great ambition. Boito, who was a successful scriptwriter, wrote the libretto for the opera, which premiered in Genoa in 1865 and was revised and restaged at La Scala in 1871. However, it was not well received at its premiere, and there was no record of it being performed for 143 years.In 2014, the opera was performed in its entirety for the first time in 143 years at Opera Southwest (USA), and in recent years it has been re-evaluated. And now, thanks to the efforts of Elisabeth Sobotka, who was appointed general director of the Bregenz Festival in 2015, the production is being staged at the Bregenz Festival. It is said that the unpopularity of the premiere was due to the casting. FACCIO demanded a high level of skill not only from the main cast, but also from all the soloists. Therefore, a perfect lineup of singers was chosen for this production. The up-and-coming Czech tenor Pavel Chernov sings Hamlet, the rising Italian baritone Claudio Sugura sings Claudius, the soprano Julia Maria Dunn sings Ophelia, and the Japanese bass-baritone Kaz Hirano, who is active in Vienna, plays Luciano and the grave digger.
