Evgeny Kyshyn, born in Moscow in 1971, began playing the piano at the age of 2, entered the Gnessin Music School at the age of 6, made his debut at the age of 10, and attracted attention as a child prodigy. In 1986, he held his first tour in Japan, and since then he has been very popular in Japan. This video shows his appearance at the Salzburg Festival in his 50th year. Since his debut at the Salzburg Festival in 1987, Kyshyn has continued to captivate audiences with his radiant performances. This performance was not only a milestone for Kyshyn, but also a recital dedicated to his teacher, Anna Pavlovna Kantor, who died on July 27, 2021 at the age of 98. Ms. Cantor was Kyshyn's only piano teacher, whom he had known like family, and with whom he had warmed to progress over the years.
