The preceding single is already too famous to be super popular! The newest Bibio album "Ribbons" is releasedBibio has released a new album "Ribbons", which is a new studio album since the ambient project "Phantom Brickworks" series in 2017 and 2018. This is his first new studio work since 2016's "A Mineral Love". Stephen Wilkinson, aka Bibio, composes, writes lyrics, sings, and plays almost all of the instruments himself. The new album incorporates a lot of both the 60's and 70's style folk music, especially British and Irish acid folk, and the dreamy harmonies of the American West Coast, which Bibio himself describes as a major influence, as well as the Dyla and Madlib samples that he admires so much. On the other hand, there are glimpses of homage to soul music such as Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Sharp, sampled by the beloved J. Dilla and Madlib, among others. This time, he also tried his hand at playing the mandolin and violin, and the ethnic melodies that emerged from these instruments add a new look to the music.Bibio's latest work, Ribbons, was released simultaneously worldwide.
