Philip Myers (horn) will also participate! Amanda Mayer is a Swedish violinist and composer. After graduating from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Stockholm, she studied composition with Reinecke and others and violin with Engelbert Lentgen at the Leipzig Conservatory in Germany. Although she never made public appearances, the couple's salons were frequented by such great musicians as Brahms, Grieg, Joachim, and Livinshtein, who praised Amanda's compositions and violin as well as her cello and piano playing and her talents as a music historian.Amanda Mayer, wife of composer Heinrich von Herzogenberg (1843-1900), and pianist Elisabet tested and advised Brahms on his Violin Sonata No. 3, which Brahms accepted and rewrote. Elmira Dalvalova is the former concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the first violinist of the New York Piano Quartet, and the label's signature artist. Philip Myers (1949-) is a world-renowned horn player who has been principal of the New York Philharmonic since 1980.
