The world-renowned fortepianist Ronald Brautigam's sixth release of Mozart piano concertos is Piano Concerto No. 18 in B-flat major, K. 456 and Piano Concerto No. 22 in E-flat major, K. 482. Once again, Brautigam's lively and clear touch reveals a new aspect of Mozart's piano concertos. The Piano Concerto No. 18 is said to have been composed at the request of Maria Theresia von Paladine, a blind female pianist, and has close similarities with K. 450 in the variation form in the middle movement and the hunting rondo in the last movement.Piano Concerto No. 22 is Mozart's fourth piano concerto in E-flat major, and is larger in scale than the preceding three works, with an imposing symphonic structure that shows the matured style of his later period. Brautigam also performs his own cadenza in this work. King International
