Description:

Master flutist Vincent Lucas! A collection of works composed during the era of the Paris Exposition! A new recording by the famous French flutist Vincent Lucas, who played with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra during the Abbado era and is currently the Principal Flute of the prestigious Orchestre de Paris! One of the world's leading flutists, Vincent Lucas entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris at the age of 14, graduating first in his class. After a stint with the Orchestre de la Capitole de Toulouse, he joined the Berlin Philharmonic in 1989, where he remained for six years during the Abbado era. Since the founding of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in 1795, France has produced many outstanding flutists. The latest work by this world-renowned French flutist concentrates on the music of Paris around 1900, the year of the Exposition, the largest in the history of the Paris Exposition, which concluded the 19th century and provided a vision for the 20th century. The album begins with "Six Epigraphs," which Debussy composed as incidental music to accompany the recitation of his friend Pierre Louis's poem "L'Ode de Bilitis," followed by Fauré's "Sicilienne," a beautiful melody that recalls history, and Chaminade's "Concertino," which was composed as a competition piece and should be called one of the most important pieces for flutists. Chaminade's "Concertino", which was composed as a competition piece and is one of the most important works for flute players, closes the album in a spectacular manner. Vincent Lucas uses "Muramatsu Flute," a pioneer flute maker in Japan, for this album. The beautiful sound of the flute can be fully enjoyed on this album. Tokyo M-Plus
